Oracea Drug Interactions

Carbamazepine
Carbamazepine may decrease the level of Oracea in the blood, perhaps making it less effective. Check with your healthcare provider before taking Oracea with carbamazepine.
 
Eplerenone
Oracea may increase the level of eplerenone in the blood, perhaps increasing the risk of side effects of eplerenone. Check with your healthcare provider before taking these medications together.
 
Fentanyl
Oracea may increase the level of fentanyl in the blood, perhaps increasing the risk of fentanyl side effects. Check with your healthcare provider before taking these medications together.
 
Maraviroc
Oracea may increase the level of maraviroc in the blood, perhaps increasing the risk of side effects of maraviroc. Check with your healthcare provider before taking these medications together.
 
Oral Typhoid Vaccine
Oracea may decrease the effectiveness of the oral typhoid vaccine. If you have taken Oracea recently or are currently taking Oracea, your oral typhoid vaccine may need to be postponed for at least a day after finishing Oracea.
 
Penicillins
Oracea may make penicillin antibiotics less effective. Check with your healthcare provider before combining Oracea with a penicillin medication.
 
Phenytoin
Phenytoin may decrease the level of Oracea in the blood, perhaps making it less effective. Check with your healthcare provider before taking Oracea with phenytoin.
 
Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs)
PPIs may decrease the absorption of Oracea, possibly making it less effective. Check with your healthcare provider before combining Oracea with a PPI.
