Oracea Uses

Can Children Use Oracea?

Oracea is not approved for children and definitely should not be used in children under the age of eight. Permanent discoloration and altered development of teeth have been reported in children younger than eight years old who have used tetracyclines, such as Oracea.

Off-Label Uses

On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend Oracea for treating something other than the conditions listed in this article. This is called an "off-label" use. At this time, there are no universally-accepted off-label uses for this drug, as the dosage is too low to treat infections.
