Rosacea Medication for Ocular Rosacea

When rosacea affects the skin around the eyes, it is known as ocular rosacea. Doctors usually treat this condition with oral antibiotics, such as tetracycline or doxycycline. When the eyes are severely affected, doctors may prescribe steroid eye drops.

Rosacea is a chronic condition. Therefore, rosacea medication should be taken regularly, not just for flare-ups. Doctors typically prescribe the minimum dose necessary in order to prevent flare-ups.
